Fungal Skin Infection/Ringworm

Consult with your primary care physician if you suspect a fungal skin infection.

Do not share towels or clothes. After bathing, dry the infected area last or with a separate towel. Cleanse the area regularly with soap and water. Try to keep the area as dry as possible.

Anti fungals should be gently massaged into the affected area when the skin is dry, this should be done in the morning and evening. Wash hands after applying. If the infection is oozing, soaking the area in aluminum acetate(1:40) solution for 20 minutes, 2-3 times a day can help. The aluminum acetate should only be used for the first week(do not use for more than one week), discontinue the aluminum acetate if inflamed legions get worse or appear for the first time.
